American Electric is a family-owned and operated electrical contracting
company established in 1983.
 Company President, Mitch Swerbilow, was the sole electrician
at the start while his father, Bernie, handled the administrative
side. From their humble beginnings as a two-man operation, they
hired their first full-time electrician within one year of
their start-up. They have grown the company slowly but steadily

each project, while Bernie continues to be the pleasant voice
